Title : Let there be morning

Initial plan was to visit my Grandmother this Saturday afternoon but plan failed. I could not even get into the hospital with this fever of mine. I've been popping in pills after pills. But I do not feel any better. Instead it makes me way too drowsy which I hate. I've been sick since yesterday and I hope it goes away soon. So I spend my Saturday editing the layout, watching Paris Hilton my new BFF on MTV and accidentally doze off when it started raining heavily. After much rest, I woke up with a mega-ultra-upsized headache. Dear God, get me well soon.

I've been really bored and so I went to do some research about one of the hottest topic I've been hearing lately. Tsunami. And I'm sure all of you recall the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake (Asian Tsunami) and the impact it has taken on us all. The U.S. Geological Survey initially recorded the toll as 283,100 killed, 14,100 missing, and 1,126,900 people displaced. However, more recent analysis compiled by the United Nations lists a total of 229,866 people lost, including 186,983 dead and 42,883 missing.

Read this: “Hello there. I just wanted 2 let you know that please stay away from the beaches all around in the month of July. There is a prediction that there will be another tsunami hitting on July 22nd (2009). It is also when there will be sun eclipse. Predicted that it is going 2 be really bad and countries like Malaysia (Sabah & Sarawak), Singapore, Maldives, Australia, Mauritius, Si Lanka, India, Indonesia, Philippines are going 2 be badly hit. Please try and stay away from the beaches in July. Better 2 be safe than sorry. Please pass the word around. Please also pray for all beings.”

I came across many sites and it gives me different views about this particular subject. I got extremely confused at first but I read it all. Thinking about it gives me the goosebumps a little, to be honest. I do not like the idea of the date because it is 1 day after my birthday. Which is oh-my-goodness. That's not the main point. We Singaporeans mustn't take things for granted and say we are safe. Who knows? However, there are sites which says that it is all false. I myself could not say whether it is the truth or just rumors. But nothing is impossible. All these, I believe is in God's hands. We just pray for the best but the almighty will decide.

When life is so short and so much of it is wasted. It passes so quickly. So cherish every moment, and live on the edge. Enjoy what you have, love every second and live up to your expectations because life is short. Time may pass slowly, but look back on your life. Do you remember when you were 3? Do you remember when you were 7? Remember life isn’t about finding yourself, it’s about creating yourself. And that's its sole purpose. Treasure every moment because every second is different and will never be the same. Because after all, you’re getting older every second.

Do you agree? Any comments?
